Transportation Risk Specialists (TRS) is the trucking insurance division of Old National Insurance Inc., an independent insurance agency at 806 Highway 78 West in Jasper, Alabama. We focus on small and mid-size fleets, owner-operators, and long-haul carriers across Alabama and the Southeast.
Why a trucking division
Trucking insurance isn’t like insuring a pickup or a storefront. Federal filings, broker contracts, cargo exclusions, driver approvals, and lender requirements all have to line up, often on a deadline. We created Transportation Risk Specialists so trucking clients work with an agent who handles these details every day.
Meet O. Rickey Harris, CWCA, CMIP
O. Rickey Harris has been in the insurance business since 1980. He leads Transportation Risk Specialists at Old National Insurance Inc., an independent insurance agency in Jasper, Alabama, where he works with small and mid-size fleets and owner-operators across the Southeast.
Beyond trucking, Rickey works in workers’ compensation and in longshore and marine coverage, two specialized areas where he holds professional designations:
- CWCA — Certified WorkComp Advisor, from the Institute of WorkComp Professionals
- CMIP — Certified Marine Insurance Professional, from the International Institute for Marine Insurance Studies
That background helps trucking clients whose operations touch employee injury, contractor relationships, ports, and waterfront freight.
